The Old Pinkham School House stands empty on most hot summer days.  However, Athelas Outdoor Ministry will fill it once again with the sounds of kid laughter and learning this summer.

 

VBS lessons will focus on various metaphors of Jesus as he describes himself as a TREE, a ROCK, and as Living WATER.  We will be investigating the properties of trees, rocks and water to see how Jesus is like them...and how that makes a difference in our lives. 

VBS times will be 10-4 pm each day. 

 

COST per child for the above sessions is $20.00.  This will include activities, materials, lunches and snacks.  There will be an optional camp over on the nights of July 6 and 7.  All children will need to have parents fill out registration forms.

Alaska Mission for Christ is looking for long term volunteer teams committed to going to Alaska's remote places to plan and staff VBS and other outreach projects.  Athelas Outdoor Ministry proposes that they could bring a staff each year at the same time to serve in this mission field.  This is not just a one time missions trip but one that we repeat  each year.  Athelas' Mission Team would then be able to build relationships within the village where we serve, and would grow to know God's children in this place better.

Have you ever wanted to visit the 'last frontier'?  Alaska Mission for Christ can give you just such an opportunity.  And we would like to help them do it! 

Please prayerfully consider if you would like to aid in this endeavor.  Athelas would need to make a commitment to have a prepared team that would return to the same village each year for several years.
