- you have a great sense of humor

- you're willing to deal with setbacks like the occasional pants-wetting in exchange for the joys of hearing incredible insights from the younger set

- you can teach canoeing or kayaking and keep a group of kids safe on the water

- you understand that kids are people with their own needs and opinions, but are also not just miniature adults

Day Camp Intern

Assist the field instructor in running a safe and successful day camp. Bring your creativity and energy to the program. In exchange, we'll mentor you and give you lots of opportunities to teach, lead, and learn new skills with an experienced instructor by your side.

 Expedition Field Instructor

Work with youth in junior high and high school.

Field instructors will be responsible for the physical safety, emotional well-being, and spiritual encouragement of a group of students in an outdoor setting, either in a base camp or on a backcountry trip. The field instructor is the keystone of the youth program: although they will have support and help, they will be responsible for making sure that trips happen, students are safe, group dynamics are monitored, goals are met, schedules are enforced, and all the details fall in place.

$2800-3200/season

simple housing, meals while in the field
